Nestled along the banks of the River Tay, Dunkeld is a charming village in Perthshire, Scotland. The stunning Dunkeld Cathedral is well worth visiting. It is located on the banks of the River Tay and surrounded by large trees, making its setting incredibly peaceful. Part of the Cathedral is in ruins, and a small chapel still operates today. This impressive Dunkeld Cathedral from the 13th century which displays the village's extensive religious heritage. Although parts of the Cathedral are in ruins, a small chapel remains in active use today.

The Hermitage is a scenic woodland path situated just outside of Dunkeld. Under the care of the National Trust for Scotland, this delightful trail meanders through verdant forests. Leading you to the thundering Black Linn Falls. At this location, visitors can find Ossian's Hall, which provides splendid views of the waterfall, originally built as a summer house in 1757. For those wishing to immerse themselves in the area's natural beauty. Loch of the Lowes is a nearby wildlife sanctuary where one can spot ospreys, red squirrels, and other species in their natural surroundings. The Little Houses in Dunkeld are also a distinctive point of interest and are well worth seeing. The Little Houses are also managed by the National Trust for Scotland. These vibrant coloured houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, located along Cathedral Street and The Cross, have been carefully restored by the National Trust for Scotland to maintain their historical value. The Trust ensures these properties are preserved and remain a part of the local community.

Travelling to Dunkeld can be done so easily by car, following the A9 North from Perth towards Inverness. It is also conveniently reachable by train, with regular trains connecting Edinburgh and Glasgow to the South or North towards Inverness. Dunkeld is a walkable village that allows visitors to discover at their own pace.
