Located just a short drive from Stirling, Briarlands Farm sits next door to Blair Drummond Safari Park. It is a fantastic family destination offering outdoor adventure, hands-on animal experiences, and fun-filled activities for all ages.
Set amidst the rolling fields of the Carse of Stirling, Briarlands Farm combines the charm of a traditional Scottish farm with the excitement of a children's adventure park. While the farm remains active, it's been developed into a destination where children can learn about farm life through interactive play and close encounters with animals.
Visitors can meet friendly farm animals, including sheep, goats, donkeys, and pigs. The farm staff are on hand to answer questions and provide insight into the animals' care and routines. The farm has feeding stations where you can buy bags of food at reception and feed certain animals as you make your way around the Park. Sheep, pigs, goats, highland cows, ducks and chickens can all be fed. Feeding the goats is great fun as you wind the tractor up, dropping the food into the goat's house.
The adventure play zones are a highlight of the park, featuring everything from jumping pillows and pedal go-karts to sand pits, trampolines, play parks, zip slides, tyre maze and climbing frames, as well as navigating Bessie! This Park will keep the kids entertained for hours and is an extremely safe space.
A fun way to tour the farm, the tractor and trailer ride takes visitors through the surrounding fields with great views of the countryside. It's both relaxing and exciting, particularly for younger visitors.
You can try the meadow maze or sheep pen maze at the far side of the park. Just to the right of these is the football golf course. The balls are located beside the 1st hole.
Designated petting zones allow visitors to get close to smaller animals. You can pet rabbits and guinea pigs at set times during the day. Check the times for this at reception on arrival.
As you make your way around Briarlands Farm, you can learn as you go with cool facts about the animals and the meaning in Makaton on display, making it a great and fun way to educate the kids.
Briarlands Farm has a welcoming on-site café serving homemade cakes, light meals, and hot drinks. There's indoor seating for rainy days and picnic areas if you prefer to bring your own food and enjoy the incredible scenery. Inside the café is a small kids' play area, which will help keep the kids entertained. The food was very nice and reasonably priced.
The facilities are family-friendly, with toilets, baby-changing stations, and accessible paths suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
