Isle of Islay is a picturesque Island located on the West Coast of Scotland. It is renowned for its whisky, with nine operational distilleries on the Island.

The Isle of Islay is the Southernmost Island of the Inner Hebrides and is often collectively referred to as the Southern Hebrides, with Jura, Gigha, and Colonsay as its closest neighbours. On a clear day, the Island appears to be within reach of Northern Ireland.

Islay is the fifth-largest Island in Scotland. The Island's rugged terrain, rich in peat, makes it a perfect location for producing single malt whisky. Additionally, Islay is home to remarkable historic sites, stunning beaches, cultural hotspots and The Machrie Golf Course help make Islay an ideal vacation spot with numerous things to do.

To get to Islay, you can take a ferry from Kennacraig, which is around a two-hour ferry journey. By car the journey from Glasgow to Kennacraig is over 100-miles. Or catch a flight from Glasgow Airport.
