Ardrossan, situated in North Ayrshire, is a charming coastal town famous for its ferry service to the scenic Isle of Arran, with a fascinating shipbuilding history in the 18th and 19th centuries. Perched on a hill overlooking the town, the ruins of Ardrossan Castle date back to the 13th century. Though little remains today, the site offers panoramic views of the town, harbour, and surrounding coastline. Ardrossan Harbour is easily accessible by car or train from Glasgow. Trains from Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour, leaving just a short walk to the ferry terminal.
