Braemar is located in the centre of the largest National Park in the UK, the Cairngorms. Braemar offers a variety of activities, such as hill walking, visiting the Glenshee Ski Centre, fishing, wildlife watching, touring a whisky distillery, and exploring the stunning scenery.

 

Immerse yourself in the grandeur of Braemar Castle, a testament to the village's rich history. Or, step into the Highland Home of the Royal Family, Balmoral Castle, and wander through its historic grounds. The annual Braemar Highland Games, a traditional Scottish gathering held in September.

 

Glenshee ski centre is Scotland's largest ski centre located just south of the village. It hosts summer and winter sports, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

 

Braemar is situated on the A93, which is known for being one of the most picturesque drives in the country. The A93 at the Cairnwell Pass is the highest public road in Scotland, offering breathtaking views of the Cairngorms National Park. However, caution is advised during winter months, when the road is often covered in snow.
