Opened in 1966, the Airport has grown into a key Scottish travel hub, serving around 9 million passengers annually. Connecting Scotland to over 90 destinations worldwide. GLA is the only Scottish airport providing daily long-haul service to Dubai.

Getting To and From Glasgow Airport

By Bus

The 500 Glasgow Airport Express runs every 10 minutes and connects the terminal to and from Buchanan Bus Station, George Square, and Central Station with a travel time of around 20 minutes.

By Taxi

Taxis are available outside arrivals. A taxi journey to the city centre should take around 20 minutes, although this can be longer if you arrive during rush hour.

By Car

The airport is directly accessed from the M8 motorway at Junction 28.

Glasgow Airport operates a paid drop-off zone directly outside the terminal. Here's what you need to know:

  • Express Drop-Off Zone (closest to terminal):
    • £6 for up to 15 minutes
    • £1 per minute after 15 minutes
    • Payment is contactless via machines at the exit.
