Hamilton, in South Lanarkshire, is a vibrant town rich in history. It once served as the residence of the Dukes of Hamilton in the Clyde Valley beside the River Clyde.

Hamilton is the perfect base for exploring the central belt and nearby attractions. Strathclyde Country Park is fantastic for water activities, cycling trails, and peaceful picnic areas. Adjacent to the park is M&D's Scotland's Theme Park. With many rides and attractions, ranging from thrilling roller coasters and water rides to an indoor tropical haven known as Amazonia, M&D's Theme Park is a great family day out.

Chatelherault Country Park spans 500 acres of lush countryside and woodland. The park has miles of designated walking paths. Visitors can enjoy an adventure playground and picnic spots and admire the 18th-century hunting lodge that stands as a historical monument. The visitor centre, cafe, and gift shop are open year-round, offering some of the most stunning views in the central belt.

Hamilton Mausoleum is renowned for its extraordinary acoustics and grand dome. The Hamilton Mausoleum is an architectural treasure and the burial site for the Dukes of Hamilton.

Low Parks Museum Explore the heritage of Hamilton at the Low Parks Museum. Located in a former coaching inn, this museum displays exhibitions on local history, archaeology, and the area's industrial past.

Hamilton's location has excellent road and rail links. Train services connect the town to Glasgow and Edinburgh, while the M74 motorway provides straightforward access for drivers.

To the northwest of Hamilton lies the popular town of East Kilbride. Motherwell, positioned to the east, is another town with attractions like the North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre. Glasgow is just 12 miles away, presenting endless shopping, dining, and cultural exploration opportunities, including the famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
