Invergordon is a vibrant town on the Cromarty Firth in the Scottish Highlands just North of Inverness. Invergordon is known for its deep-water port and rich maritime history. Invergordon played a significant role in Scotland's naval operations. Particularly during both World Wars when the Cromarty Firth was a base for the British Navy. The town's location and natural deep-water harbour were vital for naval defence and operations. Today, Invergordon is recognised for its industry, including oil rig maintenance and renewable energy. Aswell as its growing reputation as a tourist destination.

Invergordon Murals Trail is one of Invergordon's most distinctive features is its collection of large-scale murals that decorate the walls of buildings throughout the town. These artworks tell stories of the town's history, from its naval past to its industrial heritage and local folklore.
