Known as the 'Honest Toun,' Musselburgh lies on Scotland's east coast, neighboring the capital city, Edinburgh. Renowned for its golf and racecourse, Musselburgh Links is a unique 9-hole golf course located within the racecourse and is one of the original Open Championship venues.

The Musselburgh racecourse is a well-liked venue for horse racing in Scotland. It is easily accessible from Edinburgh and has frequent race meetings, making it an enjoyable day trip.

Musselburgh, located on the Firth of Forth, takes its name from 'mussel,' a reference to the abundant shellfish beds along the coastline.

The town can be accessed easily by road, from the city of Edinburgh bypass or the the A1. It is only a 20-minute train journey from the centre of Edinburgh. With Gullane and North Berwick just a short drive along this beautiful coast line.
