Paisley in Renfrewshire is only 10 miles from the city of Glasgow and is one of the largest towns in Scotland. Paisley is just two miles southwest of Glasgow Airport. The rolling hills of the Gleniffer Braes, part of a scenic Gleniffer Braes Country Park, are located south of the town.
The Braes offer stunning views over the town, Glasgow, and beyond on a clear day, seeing as far as Ben Lomond and the Arrochar Alps.

Paisley's history is deeply rooted in the textile industry. During the 19th century, the town became synonymous with the production of intricate shawls bearing the distinctive Paisley pattern.

Sma' Shot Cottages allows you to step back in time with a visit to these 18th-century weavers' cottages. The cottages and their preserved interiors offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the textile workers.

Paisley Abbey, founded in the 12th century, remains a cornerstone of its historical landscape. The abbey played a pivotal role in Scotland's religious and political history and is the final resting place of Marjorie Bruce, mother of Robert II, the first Stewart king of Scotland. Guided Tours of the stunning Paisley Abbey are available.

Paisley Museum and Art Galleries is currently undergoing a transformative redevelopment and is due to reopen in 2025. The museum celebrates the town's rich history, including its textile heritage and impressive art collections.

Visit Fountain Gardens, the oldest public park in Paisley. The park is worth visiting to discover and see the Grand Central Fountain.
