Southerness Golf Club is a wonderful test of links golf. Ranked within the top 50 courses in Scotland, well worth playing if you are in the area.
Dumfries is the closest and largest town to Southerness. It is around a 30 minute drive along the A710 which runs along the Solway Coast passing through the lovely village of New Abbey. The stunning village of Kippford on the eustary of the River Urr sits to the east of Southerness.
