Troon is a charming coastal town in Ayrshire, Scotland. It is a popular destination for tourists looking for a relaxed seaside break or a fun day out at the beach.

Troon is famous for its golf courses, but there is much more to this beautiful town. Visitors can enjoy views of the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig while strolling along the seafront, which is perfect for cycling or wheelchair use. Enjoy an ice cream from the kiosk as you take in the views.

The town is just a few miles from Prestwick International Airport, which offers many international flights. Troon also has excellent train links to Glasgow Central Station, making it a popular commuter town. Troon is also easily accessible by car from Glasgow via the M77.

Take a drive down Troon's harbour and see where fresh fish are landed daily, visitors can enjoy locally caught seafood in restaurants overlooking Troon Marina. Troon also has some great local coffee shops/bars and places to eat in the town centre.

Troon Marina is a popular yacht haven for sailing in the Firth of Clyde. Accommodation overlooking the harbour is also available. Troon Beach is a popular spot for windsurfing and kite surfing.

Many visitors to Troon travel for golf, with seven courses in Troon and many other courses nearby, including Prestwick and Turnberry. The famous Royal Troon is an Open Championship venue that will play host to the 2024 Open Championship.

Troon is a fantastic seaside town to visit and can be a great family day out with the beach and play park on the seafront. Troon offers some great accommodation and can be the perfect seaside retreat.
